Streetwear brand Another Batch has brought out a clothing line in tribute to the one and only J Dilla. I caught up with the team to talk about the inspiration behind the new line:

“We grew up listening to J Dilla’s beats not knowing who he was.
As we grew up we started to learn more about the late great J Dilla, and started to be so thankful towards him for having such a positive effect on our lives.

Early last year we started a clothing line called ‘Another Batch’ inspired by one of our favourite J Dilla albums.
We wanted to express our inspiration from music through our designs then in turn our clothes.

Now we are drawing near to J Dilla’s birthday and a annual tribute to J Dilla that The Doctors Orders host we wanted to make a limited run of T-shirts to commemorate J Dilla.

We are looking to sell out before the tribute and then donate the proceedings to the J Dilla Foundation again.
We met J Dilla’s Mum last year and she loved our J Dilla Sweatshirts we donated the money personally and she blessed our clothing line…. IT WAS AWESOME!!”
